The much-travelled Ron Stewart has linked with top jockey manager Garry Legg to help boost his move to Brisbane.Legg, a former leading Brisbane apprentice and later a racing journalist, has managed several top jockeys including Chris Munce since taking on his new role.Sydneys champion apprentice in 2002/03, Stewart, 33, has ridden more than 500 winners in Singapore, Mauritius, Macau, South Australia and NSW.He had his first Doomben ride since moving to Brisbane when unplaced on Another Whiskey on Saturday.Ron has been here for a month and working hard.
