Sebastian Vettel believes that Ferrari is heading in the right direction and insists he is not worried about the teams future, despite the departure of technical director James Allison.Ferrari announced on Wednesday that Allison had left his role with immediate effect after a three-year spell at the Italian outfit. The news came in the wake of the death of Allisons wife earlier this year and amid mounting pressure on the Marenello-based team, which has been unable to build on the three victories it recorded in 2015 so far this season. While the loss of Allison is undoubtedly a blow to Ferrari, Vettel says he has no doubts over the credentials of newly-appointed technical chief Mattia Binotto.I think weve stated in the press release what happened, said Vettel. I think Mattia has been in the team for a very long time so hes very experienced and knows the team inside out. Obviously it will be a difference but short-term doesnt change that much.Vettel was quick to dismiss question marks over a lack of experience at the team and says he has full-faith in team principal Maurizio Arrivabene.I think we have the right people on board. Theres been a lot in the press, especially about our president and what he expects from us and so on. First of all its good to see that hes involved. Hes obviously pushing the team very hard. Also in Maranello he spends a lot of time there, I think he knows what hes talking about and generally has been trying to understand whats going on in the last year in particular. I think things are heading in the right direction generally. In Maurizios case as well I think hes been in Formula One and involved for a long time so I think he knows the business very well. I think hes doing a very, very good job. Thats how we all feel inside the team, hes our leader, hes the team principal and were happy hes with us.The quadruple world champion said he feels it is important that Ferrari does not dismiss its 2016 car entirely, even if it has shifted the majority of its development focus onto 2017.Well we are already obviously working flat out on the 2017 car, I think everybody is. The rules are very different but still theres stuff I think we can learn from this year and thats why I think it would be wrong to forget about this years car. Tony Wolters Jersey . South Australia XI 8 for 435 (Ludeman 167, Raphael 91, Winter 63, Maharaj 3-59) drew with South Africa 489ScorecardSouth Africas bowlers struggled for impact against what was effectively a South Australia second XI at Glenelg on Friday, with a century from Tim Ludeman steering the locals to 8 for 435. It was the last day of match practice for the South Africans ahead of the first Test, starting on Thursday, and while they rested spearheads Dale Steyn and Kagiso Rabada, the lack of penetration from the rest might have been a concern.Left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj finished with the best figures, 3 for 59, and Morne Morkel picked up 2 for 67 from 14 overs. But Vernon Philander went wicketless in 14 costly overs and Kyle Abbott also leaked more than five per over, claiming 1 for 64 from his 12. When play was called off for thhe day, the South Australians had moved along to 8 for 435 in reply to South Africas 489.dddddddddddd.The first wicket, that of opener Johnathon Dalton, came via a run-out with the total on 57, and Maharaj then trapped Brad Davis lbw for 22. But then came a 105-run partnership between the two most experienced members of the South Australia outfit, the captain Sam Raphael, and the wicketkeeper Ludeman, who together pushed the total on to 200.Raphael fell short of a century, caught off the spin of JP Duminy for 91, but Ludeman found another capable ally in the 19-year-old Jake Winter, and together they added a further 159 for the fourth wicket. Ludeman finally departed for 167 and Winter made 63. ' ' '
