MONTREAL -- Bernhard Langer says he will skip a tournament in his native Germany to play at the Montreal Championship this year. Langer, who turns 56 next month, said Tuesday he will be in the field for the Champions Tour event Sept. 6-8 at Richelieu Valley in Ste-Julie, Que. He missed the first three editions of the Montreal Championship because it conflicted with a seniors event in his home country. He said that while sponsors put pressure on him to play in Germany, "I told them I hoped they could manage without me for one year."
