Parramatta coach Brad Arthur has adopted a siege mentality as his desperate sides NRL finals hopes go on the line against Penrith on Sunday.Already without skipper Kieran Foran for the rest of the year, the Eels were dealt what could be two potentially fatal blows this week when Semi Radradra was ruled out for six weeks and five-eighth Corey Norman was stood down following his conviction for drug possession. The club had hoped to field Norman - who was the difference in their dramatic 22-18 win over Sydney Roosters last week - against the Panthers at Pepper Stadium on Sunday before the NRL intervened and demand he be stood down.It came as transcripts of Arthurs interview with NRL investigators over the salary cap scandal revealed the extent of the infighting and distrust within the club. The club has dug its heels in and is preparing to appeal the $1 million fine and loss of 12 competition points imposed by the NRL for its systemic salary cap breaches since 2013.However Arthur repeatedly refused to buy into any of the turmoil surrounding the club during his pre-game press conference on Saturday and reiterated his desire to focus on the positives. Its tremendous the boys have been able to keep fronting up and focus on what their job which is to play football, to play for each other, Arthur said.Theyve still got a lot of belief regardless of a few surrounding issues. We do have our fair share of injuries too. Last week we had plenty of players playing out of position but we had the effort and the energy and desire to go out there and perform well.Brad Takairangi was expected to move into five-eighth for Norman, however Arthur revealed he was still struggling with a hamstring injury which has kept him out since round 12.As well, centre Michael Jennings on Saturday faced a fitness test to back up after Wednesdays State of Origin III.Should Takairangi be ruled out, Kenny Edwards is expected to partner Jeff Robson in the halves. The Panthers go into the game having lost two straight and another will see a gap open up between them and the top eight.Winger Josh Mansour and skipper Matt Moylan are expected to back up after Origin.Moylan stepped up for NSW in the unfamiliar No.6 jumper during Origin III but coach Anthony Griffin said his immediate future at club level was at fullback. It was a big ask for him without ever having played there but he certainly doesnt lack any courage, Griffin said. Its a possibility (to move him to No.6) but just with our team, in the short term, his role is fullback.Obviously when you see him play like that the other night,it gives him a lot of confidence personally about being able to handle that role.STATS THAT MATTER* The past three meetings between these two sides have been decided by six points or less.* The Eels strength has been their defence, conceding the fourth least points (15.8), tries (2.8) and offloads (9) per game.* Source: Fox Sports Stats Nike Air Max Nettbutikk . FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Former NFL star Chad Johnson was sentenced Monday to 30 days in jail for a probation violation in a domestic violence case by a judge who angrily rejected a no-jail plea deal after Johnson playfully slapped his lawyer on the backside in court. Johnson, known as Chad Ochocinco -- his jersey number in Spanish -- during his playing days, had reached a deal with prosecutors calling for community service and counselling instead of jail. Broward County Circuit Judge Kathleen McHugh said she would tack on an additional three months probation because Johnson had failed to meet with his probation officer during three previous months. It was all set until Johnson, when asked by McHugh if he was satisfied with his lawyer Adam Swickle, gave the attorney a light swat on the rear -- as football players routinely do to each other on the field. The courtroom erupted in laughter and at that McHugh said she wouldnt accept the deal. "I dont know that youre taking this whole thing seriously. I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside. Is there something funny about this?" McHugh said, slapping the plea deal document down on her desk. "The whole courtroom was laughing. Im not going to accept these plea negotiations. This isnt a joke." Johnson, 35, tried to apologize and insisted he meant no disrespect. Johnson was on probation after pleading no contest to head-butting his then-wife, TV reality star Evelyn Lozada, during an altercation last August. She quickly filed for divorce after barely a month of marriage and Johnson, a six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, was immediately released by the Miami Dolphins.dddddddddddd He didnt play at all last season. "This is your courtroom. I have no intent to make this a joke. Its not funny," Johnson told the judge "My life is in a shambles right now and I try my best to laugh and keep a smile on my face." But McHugh, who could have given Johnson up to a year in jail, was not moved. "Its not the first time hes behaved that way in my courtroom," she said. Johnson then was handcuffed and hauled away to jail. Swickle declined comment on whether he would seek a reduced sentence. Johnson has been undergoing therapy aimed at helping people involved in domestic violence but has not signed with another NFL team. He said in court Monday he hoped that would change in the upcoming football season, but now faces another setback. "He has suffered. He has lost everything," Swickle told the judge. Johnson, whose best playing days were with the Cincinnati Bengals, caught 766 passes for more than 11,000 yards and 67 touchdowns during his career. He also played for the New England Patriots. Lozada stars on VH-1s "Basketball Wives" TV show. She was previously engaged to ex-NBA star Antoine Walker, who played for the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics and other teams, and was a star on the University of Kentuckys 1996 national championship team.
